  • Q: I registered an account and/or joined the waiting list a while ago. How long is the wait?

    A: Unfortunately, we cannot provide a firm timeframe. A place will become available only if an active member leaves the list. Due to the bespoke nature of the release we also do not precisely predict when the wine will become available, but we do contact individuals on the list as the release date approaches and in some instances will ask for a deposit to secure the wine at that time. Please ensure you update any address changes through email or by logging into your account.


    Q: What is 1196, and what happened to the pre-2025 Domaine Wolf wines?

    A: In 2023, we expanded our reach with a state-of-the-art cellar in Gamlitz. Along with this growth, Domaine Wolf brought the Muster.Gamlitz, Motif, and Dreisebner Muster brands under one roof, uniting all teams within a single, purpose-built cellar and the 1196 Kellerei company. To forefront the exceptional work of the cellar, we established Domaine 1196 and its Signature Selection—a brand dedicated to showcasing wines from our most remarkable vineyards and winemakers. Existing partners can rest assured— the products previously offered by Domaine Wolf will continue under the new Domaine 1196 label, available here, maintaining the same quality while allowing us to offer greater value. During this transition, there will be a staggered changeover for B2B customers to ensure continuity of deliveries.     Q: Can I visit the 1196 Cellar / Domaine Wolf property?
    A: Yes! as of 2025, we welcome guests to our new 1196 Cellar. Please note, due to the extremely limited production volumes, Domaine Wolf wines are typically not available for all tastings.

    Q: How do I join the waiting list?
    A: Please get in touch. You will be contacted by the Domaine Wolf/1196 Team once you move from the waiting list to the active member list.

    Q: Do you donate wine or money to charities? Can we contact you?
    A: Domaine Wolf and Domaine 1196 have a small team and can often be overwhelmed with unsolicited requests and, unfortunately, cannot consider individual requests for charity donations. Our donations are made internally, guided by the causes that resonate with our family and team.

    Q: Do you ship to my area?

    A: Due to the small nature of our list and unique nature of the Domaine Wolf wine, shipping is managed directly with clients on a case-by-case basis. We often prefer that clients collect the wine in person to ensure its safety and integrity.

  • Beginning with the 2025 releases - every Domaine Wolf wine is uniquely marked and individually numbered incl. with unique, non-reproducible elements. The wine is typically given to the recipient in a personalised box unique to that owner - bearing the wine number and name of the owner. If you have doubts about the veracity of a bottle of Domaine Wolf wine in your possession we can often help to confirm whether or not the original bottle was acquired from us and verify the integrity of the label etc. For more information please contact us directly with images of the bottle in question and any packaging that may have come with it.
